12th - I received a telephone call to tell me
that I’d won two tickets to Haydock Park Races via a competition I entered on
the Lancashire Telegraph website. We had tickets for the County Stand with its nice
restaurants and bars – no jeans, t-shirts or trainers. We enjoyed the atmosphere and gambled a
little – at the end of the day we lost about £9.60, so all in all a very enjoyable and cheap day
out.
14th - I
received an e-mail from familyfever.com telling me that I’d won a baking
set. This consisted of a metal mixing
bowl, two Kinsey Jars, some measuring spoons and a two tier cake stand.
