AUGUST and SEPTEMBER 2015 wins

AUGUST 2015

18th - I received a letter from the Lancashire Telegraph to say I'd won an 'Inside Out' console and some figures.






28th - I received an e-mail from Best Western which read, "I’m delighted to let you know that you were the randomly chosen winner of Day 18 of Best Western’s social media competition to win a stay at a Best Western in the South West of England".


It went on to say it was a two-night break at the BEST WESTERN The Royal Chase Hotel in Shaftesbury for two adults sharing a twin or double room, with dinner and full English breakfast daily.

SEPTEMBER 2015

Another month with no wins.  Worst year for a long time.


 

May, June and July 2015 wins

MAY 2015

8th - I received an e-mail from Littlestuff.co.uk  to say I’d won 4 childrens atlases.  My granddaughter will love these.

 

18th - An e-mail arrived from The Trafford Centre  and informed me that I’d won a ‘ Kate & Min-Min’ DVD, dressing up ears and  a plush toy

28th - I won a book called 'The parrots tale' from  50Connect






JUNE and JULY 2015

No wins to report again in another disappointing year.

April 2015 wins

APRIL 2015

8th - I took a telephone call from the Guardian to say I’d won a pair of tickets to the Kendal Calling Festival.  I’d entered this for my daughter as she’d been to this festival last year and really enjoyed it.  It’s always nice to win something for family members which you know they’ll enjoy.

27th - While sitting watching TV in the early evening I took a call from Smooth Radio to say I’d won tickets to see Mike and the Mechanics at the Bridgewater Hall.  I was really pleased as they are one of my favourite bands.  We had a super evening dining first at Turtle Bay then the concert itself.  The two original lead singers have been replaced, by two other exceptional singers and the band played all their hits, making this my best prize of the year to date.

13th - Won a large box of Milk Tray and very nice they were too.

19th - I won some merchandise from the film ‘Focus’ from the Trafford Centre.  It contained t-shirt, baseball cap, scribe for iPad in shape of a lipstick and spy sunglasses that enable you to see behind you.

24th - I received a long white envelope from the Lancashire Telegraph saying I’d won tickets to Madame Butterfly at the Liverpool Empire.  We had a lovely day in Liverpool, visiting  a photographic  exhibition at the Walker followed by a Greek meal.  Madame Butterfly was a little heavy for my taste but made for a nice change.

January 2015 wins

JAN 2015

 12th -        I received a telephone call to tell me that I’d won two tickets to Haydock Park Races via a competition I entered on the Lancashire Telegraph website. We had tickets for the County Stand with its nice restaurants and bars – no jeans, t-shirts or trainers.  We enjoyed the atmosphere and gambled a little – at the end of the day we lost about £9.60, so all in all a very enjoyable and cheap day out.

14th - I received an e-mail from familyfever.com telling me that I’d won a baking set.  This consisted of a metal mixing bowl, two Kinsey Jars, some measuring spoons and a two tier cake stand.

December 2014 Wins

DEC 2014

12th -  I received an e-mail which read, "This is just a quick email to congratulate you on winning the Land Love Magazine Book Competition!  Your prize copy of Egg by Michael Ruhlman has been despatched and will be with you shortly. I do hope you enjoy the book!".

17th - I won 100g  of Chocolate Museum chocolate buttons which unfortunately had to be collected from the museum in London.  That will teach me to read the rules properly as I won't be going down to collect them..
